“It’s about hope.” said keynote speaker, Dr. Howard Rocket. “These students that you are supporting may unlock the next big thing in the future. It all starts right here with all of you.”
Over 250 guests were moved by Dr. Rocket’s touching message on driving courage in the face of hardship at the Inspiration Night gala on October 24. Guests attended in support of the 625 Toronto students enrolling in Kids, Cops & Computers this school year. The fifth anniversary of the event included an opening performance by Jessica Mitchell thanks to Slaight Music and Ben Mulroney returning as Master of Ceremonies.
Thanks to the generous sponsors and guests, $180,000 in net proceeds were raised this year to further the expansion of the Kids, Cops & Computers program. More than $700,000 has been raised through the five Inspiration Night galas held to date.
Special thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and the Inspiration Night Committee for their hard work in planning this successful evening: Chair Amie Rocket Munk, Kara Alloway, Kelly Armstrong, Pati Greenwood, Michelle Jalsevac, Jessica Langer, Claire McIntyre, Trish Mennell, Sarah Nanacsik, Sarah Paterson, and G. Scott Paterson.
